UM SO I'LL LET YOU DRINK. TAKE SURE, SO THERE IS A PREVIOUS VERSION OF THIS COMMITTEE THAT WAS APPOINTED IN , UH, 2020 AND REALLY STARTED THEIR WORK TOWARDS THE END OF 2020 AND INTO 2021. AND THAT CAN BE PRETTY BROAD GROUP OF THE COMMUNITY. BOTH RESIDENTS BUT THEN ALSO REPRESENT REPRESENTATIVES OF, UM DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY LIKE THE CHAMBER. THE FOUNDATION HEALTHY NEW ALBANY, THE SCHOOL DISTRICT. UH AND THEY CAME TOGETHER AND HAD A SERIES OF, YOU KNOW, REALLY COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS OVER THE TOPICS OF DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION. AND THE RESULT OF THAT WORK REALLY? THE GROUP FOCUSED IN ON THREE MAIN AREAS AND DEVELOPED A SET OF RECOMMENDATIONS AND WE CAN GET YOU A COPY OF THAT FINAL REPORT AND THE GROUP PRESENTED THAT REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL IN NOVEMBER OF LAST YEAR. CITY COUNCIL TOOK THE RECOMMENDATIONS AND ONE OF THE RECOMMENDATIONS WHAT, SPECIFICALLY TO IMPANEL A SECOND VERSION OF THE IDEA GROUP TO WORK ON IMPLEMENTING SOME OF THE PROJECTS THAT CITY COUNCIL CHOOSES FROM THE RECOMMENDATIONS . AND SO THOSE THREE PROJECTS, UM, ARE COMING UP WITH SOME SORT OF FESTIVAL. UM THAT CELEBRATES . I THINK TO BE DEFINED IN TERMS OF WHAT THIS GROUP WANTS THAT FESTIVAL TO BE, UM, THAT'S THE FIRST EVENT OR PROGRAM THAT THIS GROUP WILL BE TASKED WITH IMPLEMENTING THE SECOND ONE IS AN IDEA OF SOME SORT OF PERIODIC RECEPTION. UH THAT COULD BE QUARTERLY BUT COULD WELCOME NEW RESIDENTS OR INTRODUCED RESIDENTS THAT MAYBE HAVEN'T BEEN ENGAGED IN THE COMMUNITY TO ONE ANOTHER. THAT HAVEN'T BEEN ENGAGED PREVIOUSLY. AND THEN THE THIRD PROGRAM IS THIS AMBASSADOR PROGRAM THAT THE IDEA IS. HOW DO YOU CONNECT NEW RESIDENTS TO THE

COMMUNITY? HOW DO YOU MAKE THEM FEEL? WELCOME HOW DO YOU MAKE THEM INCLUDE FEEL INCLUDED, UM, AND TO FORM THIS KIND OF YOU COULD THINK ABOUT A MENTORSHIP OR YOU KNOW PARTNERSHIP WITH AN ESTABLISHED RESIDENTS TO WELCOME THEM INTO THE FOLD. AND SO, YOU KNOW, TYPICALLY, WE, UM THE STRUCTURE OF THIS GROUP IS A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT BECAUSE WE HAVE THE PANEL MEMBERS AND THEN WE ALSO ARE GOING TO WORK IN THESE THREE DIFFERENT WORKING GROUPS BASED ON THE PROGRAMS THAT YOU ALL HAVE A DENT IDENTIFIED THAT YOU'RE INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING IN UM AND SO WE WANTED TO. TYPICALLY WE DO THIS INFORMATION .
